Time to start leaving Python books around in conspicuous places.
He actually has a Python/BioPython book in his office, and I code mostly in Python, but he seems to be unable to decipher its greater wonders and calls it really confusing. But most of the source code of the framework we use is written in Python and most of the scripts I work with are, so it’s alllll good. There’s some R involved too, but R is piss-easy.

Fuck me, this is belated. Sorry, been thoroughly enjoying being done with the semester…
- How I feel about this character: Arcade, you may pull some stupid shit sometimes and get entirely too involved in your own quarter-life angst, but I love you all the same and you are my gay boyfriend, so all is forgiven. (Don’t tell him, but sullen, grumpy, snarky Arcade is my favorite.)
- All the people I ship romantically with this character: M!Courier, Boone, all of the robots (I will admit to being the author of the fic where he gets shotgun-married to Rex), misguided attraction to sitting by himself in a tent poking at experiments, and maaaybe Old Ben. I could swear the man said “Hello, Arcade” on one occasion but maybe my ears deceived me.
- My non-romantic OTP for this character: VERONICA FOREVER. Also grudgingly Cass. (Grudgingly because he pretends to only put up with her for her booze.)
- My unpopular opinion about this character: He isn’t: a) a kawaii desu sugoi buttmonkey, b) ~*secretly hetero/bi*~, c) INHERENTLY anti-social. He just has trouble expressing his many feelings. It’s hard out there for a pimp.
Being serious, though, I think living his childhood (in my headcanon) essentially on the run and without a father figure contributed greatly to the man he is today. Though I don’t think this is an unpopular opinion, but whatever.
- One thing I wish would happen / had happened with this character in canon: I wish there were companion interactions. Oh, do I wish there were companion interactions. His would be so quality.

- my gender bend: I doubt Arcade would be much different if FAAB. Just with boobs and maybe a worse attitude from not being taken seriously by some people. But maybe he and Julie would be gettin it on then. Not a bad proposition by any measure.

I just have a kneejerk reaction to anyone looking longingly at a Maserati, and that reaction is to find my giant folder of service bills from 2003/4 and gently beat them until they come to their senses and buy a decent second-hand Porsche instead :v
Yeah, I’d go with a Beemer just because all Porsches look the same to me. I see so damn many of them too. They’re midlife crisis cars around here, along with Dodge Challengers for the more Murrican midlifers.

Haha, I would if I had it, but my brother’s the RA3 fan in the family. I prefer my RTS games Westwood-styled (Emperor: Battle for Dune, anyone?). The newer and shinier it is, the harder it is for me to care; just a personal preference thing, I guess. Speaking of which, that reminds me that I bought all of X-Com during the latest Steam sale….
